EASTSHORE CAMPARK Campground in Prince Edward County - Main

Something for Everyone

Eastshore Campark is a family-oriented campground located in northwest Price Edward County (aka "The County") in the area known as the Hillier ward, the heart of south-eastern Ontario's burgeoning wine industry.

Originally opened as a fishing camp over 30 years ago, Eastshore Campark has evolved and expanded to become a great getaway for everyone. Consecon Lake's diverse habitats are known for excellent fishing, hosting sportfish such as Rock Bass, Walleye, and Northern Pike as well as Yellow Perch, Bluegills and other "fun fishing" species. Along with our boat launch and docking facilities, we offer a fish hut with facilities for cleaning and disposing of fish wastes.

The campground is ideally located to give easy access to area amenities and The County's events and activities, but provides excellent privacy, peace and quiet. The surrounding scenic country roads are excellent for cycling, walking and horseback riding (available nearby).

Only a few minutes drive away is Ameliasburg, with a museum, pioneer days festival and annual car show. A short drive takes you to Trenton, Belleville, Picton or 2 Provincial Parks. The nearby towns and cities provide access to all major grocery chains, department stores, and numerous restaurants. The Mustang Drive-In, one of the few Drive-In Theatres left in Ontario, is located just minutes away. For more about The County and surrounding activities, click here.

We are well equipped with on-site facilities, including newly renovated wahrooms with showers, a rec hall, children's play park, shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, boat launch and docking facilities.

Our rec hall has lots of indoor activities for rainy days, including darts, satellite TV, puzzle and book library, shuffleboard and pool tables.

We have a kid-friendly swimming area in Consecon Lake with a floating swim platform. The lake bottom slopes very gradually providing safe swimming for novices, and the smooth pebbled beach has no undertows and warm summer water. 10 km long Consecon Lake is excellent for waterskiing, tubing and boating.

Our camp hosts American Goldfinches, Baltimore Orioles, herons and dozens of other bird species. Also around The County are wild turkeys, ospreys, several species of raptors, turkey vultures, and hundreds of other critters that reside in or pass through the area seasonally. The west end of the lake is a fantastic place to get back to nature in a canoe or boat, with lots of wildlife including a wedge of beautiful mute swans and numerous bird species for bird watchers and nature lovers. When the campground opens on the first weekend in May, the migratory birds are often in full flight making quiet early-season visits to the campground a special treat.

The Eastshore Campark camper's association organizes many social events for campers and guests. These activities include weekly card tournaments, pot-luck dinners, dances, fishing derbies, game nights, corn and marshmallow roasts, and special long-weekend events. We wrap up the summer with a special labour day weekend bash, with a huge beef Barbecue on Sunday, and a live band with dance also held on the same weekend.

The campground remains open until Thanksgiving weekend in October, when a final camp dinner marks the closure of the campsites for winter.
